Potros FC 2–1 Fire Brigade Sporting FC

Revenge served. Months after Fire Brigade Sporting FC announced themselves with a 4–1 thrashing of Potros on their debut, Potros FC turned the tables to win the rematch 2–1 in a hard-fought contest.

With talisman Carlos Mejia back from suspension, Potros looked a different side. Mejia marked his return by getting on the scoresheet, and Samuel Oluwatobi added the second to secure a deserved victory that tastes all the sweeter given the history between these two.

Chinonso Okwute kept up his fine form run with Fire Brigade's consolation, but it wasn't enough. For Fire Brigade, it's now two defeats in a row — a dramatic fall from their explosive start, and a slump they'll be desperate to arrest.

Potros, meanwhile, are building real momentum at exactly the right time.
