Warriors FC 3–2 Potros FC

Two teams level on points walked onto the pitch. Only one walked off with the win — and it was Warriors FC who held their nerve in a five-goal thriller.

In a game that had everything, Warriors FC edged a relentless Potros side 3–2 to make it back-to-back victories. After their explosive 6–2 demolition of Greenstone, the Warriors have now found a rich vein of form at exactly the right time, and they look every bit a side on the rise.

The goals were shared around in a true team performance, with Timi Fadare, Hesmeider Reales, and Sky Garcia all finding the net — three different scorers underlining the attacking threat running right through this Warriors side.

Potros FC will be left ruing what might have been. Adriano Micolta was the standout, scoring twice to keep his side in the contest right to the end, but ultimately Potros came up just short in a game that could have gone either way. To compound the disappointment, top scorer Carlos Mejia was shown a red card and will now miss Potros's next match through suspension — a significant blow given his importance to the side. The quality is undeniable, but in the margins, Warriors were that little bit sharper.

This was a statement win. Warriors FC are climbing, and the rest of the league is taking notice.
